Dear Friend,

It’s hard to believe that we’ve reached the end of 2017. I pray that all is well for you and your family as you gather to celebrate the Christmas and the joy of the holiday season.

I’d like to start a new tradition within the family of Hiawatha Youth Camp supporters – an annual report of the tangible impact being made through your support.

To be clear, I am continually blown away and thankful for the eternal, spiritual impact you help
make possible as we see scores of young people make life-changing decisions during their time
at camp. The Lord has been incredibly gracious in blessing the ideas, program, speakers, and
staff in our efforts to reach the hearts of our guests with the powerful message that Christ loves
them and has a plan for each of them. We will never stop celebrating the spiritual victories our
campers and staff experience at HYC.

Along with recognizing the “heart” issues at the core of why HYC exists, I’m thankful for the
tangible, physical property improvements your financial and prayer support has allowed us to
make. Much of the camp was constructed in 1973 and, as you can imagine, needs renovation,
restoration, and (sometimes) replacement. We’re in the midst of completing a huge project
that many of you have helped launch.

On the following page, you’ll find a checklist of what has already been finished, the projects still
to come, and the projected financial need to complete the second phase of the “Abundant”
campaign.

If you could please send a gift before the end of the year, it would be a huge help in allowing
us to plan for the next phase. Thank you in advance for your part in helping change lives at HYC.
I’ll be praying for you and your family in the days ahead and hope you’ll do the same for us.
Have a wonderful Christmas!

Sincerely,

Craig

I was struggling with so many decisions; I didn’t know how to handle them or where to turn. I thought I had to do it all on my own. But then I came to Hiawatha and learned that God can handle everything and anything. Just to learn that God cares about me made me cry tears of joy. Thank you so much to everyone who works at camp and all those who support Hiawatha. My life will never be the same!
