Dear Partner,
I want to start this letter off by saying “thank you” to each one of you. Hiawatha Youth Camp could not continue to minister year after year without the faithfulness of each pledge partner.
You not only provide the necessary funding to keep us going, but your commitment to faithfully pray for HYC is vital and makes a major impact on everything we do.
As we write monthly to share our blessings, needs, burdens, and God stories, we know all of that leads you to pray, meet the needs, and send notes of encouragement. For all of that we are very thankful.
Just a few weeks ago our 2024 HYC season wrapped up and we were richly blessed in so many ways!
God provided an incredible 20% increase in campers over the previous year.
God provided an increase of 500% in our overall income coming out of the camping season.
We were blessed once again to welcome some of the best speakers in the nation to share the Word with our campers and staff. Being able to sit in on the services and listen to them share the Gospel and grab the attention of today's teenagers is a gift.
We had an excellent and dedicated staff. These young people are the very backbone of the HYC experience. Some have been with us for years and others were rookies, but the Lord brought them together as a ministry-minded team that never grew weary or forgot their primary purpose. I would catch myself just sitting back listening to them or watching them do tasks and would just smile and whisper “thank you” to God for being able to be part of something so wonderful.
Again, thank you for helping make all that happen!
We now turn our attention to 2025 and would ask that you join us in praying for these important matters:
We have been blessed by the gracious welcome extended to HYC by Bambi Lake and pray that this special place will once again be our home for the summer of 2025.
We pray for a powerful schedule of speakers once again and will be beginning that outreach very soon.
We pray with and for staff so that they will be able to return next summer.
We hope that campers are already planning on HYC 2025, bringing along friends to experience a life-changing week.
Each of us at HYC has a dream list of things that we want to see happen. I believe that if we storm the gates of heaven and allow God to work through each one of us, that HYC 2025 will be one the best years yet.
Again, THANK YOU for being part of the ministry of Hiawatha. We do not take you for granted. We could not do this without you.
I am blessed to be headed into my 29th year of ministry here at HYC. Thank you for letting me be part of something so special!
Sincerely,
Tamra Hall
